About Haug
Monique Haug
I grew up and graduated from high school in Watertown. I started college at Mankato State but finished at the University of South Dakota, majoring in Elementary Education.
I have been teaching 4th/ 5th grade for about 16 years. I LOVE working with kiddos and watching them set goals that we together achieve. I believe in positive thinking and treating others as you want to be treated.
We call my class TEAM HAUG because that's exactly what we are - a team. We work together and spend lots of time together 4 days a week. Our room is a comfortable, but zany place to learn and have fun!
I'm married to my best friend, and have been for what seems like forever. (Yes, I'm old!) We have a 16 year old son, Gunner, and 2 daughters. Chandler is 18 and a freshman at USD. Hillori is 21, married to a super fella named Stuart. They together gave us our first grandchild this past April!
I love to watch our kids do just about anything, especially sports. Reading, camping, and spending time in the sun are favorites of mine. I pride myself on being strange and full of crazy ideas. The day I become normal, is the day my life turns boring. Yuck!
